Corners, edges, and the center each flip a different pattern. Figuring out the patterns is the puzzle.

The story

In 1978, a red handheld called Merlin lit up living rooms everywhere — and its best puzzle was Magic Square. Two sisters, Ana and Beth, played it together for hours. Sisters' Magic Square is a from-scratch tribute to that puzzle, made for them and for everyone who remembers the glow: the same rules, warm red lights, and buzzy square-wave beeps.

It's an independent labor of love — not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Hasbro. Merlin is a trademark of its respective owner.

It's a loving, from-scratch recreation of the Magic Square puzzle featured on the 1978 Merlin electronic handheld — same rules, same feel. It's an independent tribute, not affiliated with or endorsed by the trademark owner.
